Romantic Maine Engagement | Skylar + Jeremiah

I recently had the absolute pleasure of capturing Skylar and Jeremiah’s romantic engagement session in the picturesque area of Ogunquit, Maine. These two are the epitome of a cute couple. I had such a wonderful time getting to know them and capturing these special memories of this fleeting and exciting season of life!

Skylar and Jeremiah live in upstate New York, but chose to tie the knot in York, Maine. They chose Maine as it holds a special place in Skylar’s heart since she grew up vacationing there with her family. She has many fond memories of this area and it means the world to her to be getting married in a place that already means so much to her.

The serene landscapes and the nostalgic charm of Maine make it the perfect backdrop for their love story. Skylar reached out to me even before finalizing her wedding venue to ensure I was available on one of their potential dates—talk about a dream client! I was beyond thrilled and honored to be part of their journey.

Romantic Maine Engagement

Their engagement session took place on the stunning cliffs of Ogunquit, right next to the ocean. We even found the cutest lighthouse to include in the photos too. The entire day was a dream! As we were capturing their love against this breathtaking scenery, a unique and memorable moment occurred. Skylar suddenly felt as if something was watching her. When she looked up, she saw three deer standing nearby, staring at us. While I didn’t manage to capture a photo of this magical encounter, it was undoubtedly one of the coolest and weirdest moments I’ve experienced during a shoot.

This unexpected visit felt profoundly symbolic for Skylar and Jeremiah. Both of their fathers have passed away, and the presence of the deer seemed like a beautiful sign of their dads presence. It made their session even more special.
